Brazil launches home and away kit for 2013
Nike officially unveiled its 2013 home and away strip for Brazil. Neymar was the star attraction as he showcased the new gear and also launched ‘Batalha das Quadras’ (Battle of the Court) in Rio de Janeiro, a competition for young players who play small-sided football to put their skills to the test and celebrate the game.
The event was marked to celebrate Brazil’s footballing legacy and diverse heritage. Neymar was joined by veteran legend Ronaldo to kick off the competition where an estimated 4,000 young footballers have signed up to take part.
Robin Van Persie Leaves Twitter
After much speculation regarding his Twitter account, Dutchman Robin Van Persie deleted his personal profile off the popular social media platform without much hoo-ha.
Van Persie, a serial Tweeter under his handle @Persie_Official not too long ago, he hasn’t tweeted since August 14, two days before he completed his move to Old Trafford.
Although there hasn’t been any confirmation from the man himself or from his representative’s, it isn’t clear why he decided to leave.
Was it because of abuse from Arsenal fans, Piers Moron, I mean Morgan labelling him as ‘#VanPursetrings’ or an instruction of boss Alex Ferguson?
With a substantial following of over 2 million followers, needless to say it’s a loss for his fans and for the twitterati.
